Peck Memorial Library is hosting a professional ghost-themed show, open to the community, on Thursday
October 18, 2018 at 6:30 PM, at the Peck Memorial Library, located at 24 Main St Marathon, NY 13803 .
The show, titled “New York Spirits,” is being used as part of the library’s efforts to encourage adults to read
more. The show is presented by international entertainer/educator Cris Johnson and will feature spooky subject
matter, strange artifacts and props, unusual happenings, audience participation, and more. The show is intended
for adults as well as any thrill-seeking teens.
“This particular program is something different – it was designed to promote more reading among adults,”
Library Director Mary Ann Frank explains. “The show will feature the history of ghosts in New York subject matter
such as The Amityville Horror House, the spiritualist Fox Sisters, Fort William Henry Museum, The Red Coach
Inn, and more. It’s part history, part spook show, and is spine-tingling fun!”
