If the service you need is not listed here, please let us know — we may be able to help.

What can I borrow and for how long?

You can borrow up to 30 books at a time for 3 weeks.  Other items are also available, each with its own “rules” (e.g., DVDs loan duration is one week).

Library Cards

Anyone can use our library free of charge.

A library card is necessary to borrow materials.

  • Library cards are free, but require proof of address and photo ID.
  • Children and teens (younger than 18) must have a parent/guardian sign an approval-form in order to get a card.

The Finger Lakes Library System (FLLS) offers “One Card, Many Libraries.” This service allows library patrons from Cayuga, Cortland, Seneca, Tioga and Tompkins counties to use their library cards to borrow materials from any of the Finger Lakes Library System’s 33 member libraries.

  • A valid card issued from any other FLLS library is good here.
  • A delinquent account at any other FLLS library will restrict privileges here as well.

You can apply for a card using a form that you can pick up at the library front desk, or you can use the Finger Lakes Library System Online Library Card Application.
